History

The history of this website, huh? The website came about after I started to run my hotline server. After having the server and learning quite a bit more on my own about computers, graphics and much more I started to learn a little bit about HTML. I first started off my website on geocities and its still there, but with a link to this website. I still get hits from my geocities site to here..how people stumble onto that old site, I do not know. I then bought my missturtle.com domain name in early 1998. I started to build my site with my minimal knowledge on HTML. Still liked all the sites I did and was proud of myself everytime I made a new layout. Got better and better. And now here we are today.

This site is not only a website, but it branches out into different areas of my life. Many people only know me as one of the many portions of me and still somehow manage to think highly of me. I thank you all for your kind words since 1997. All the support that each and every person has given me has brought me here today. I have accomplished many things since 1997 and you get to see a glimpse of some of it here.

As many of you already know, my main motivation is music. My passion for music starts from the time I was born. I listen to everything and I won't say I don't like any genre of music because just when you say you don't like one you will find one artist you just absolutely fall in love with. No matter what I am doing I am always around music and if not I am singing in my mind. lol. I have many friends that are trying to make it in the music scene and I support them all. You will see some reviews here on friends' bands and such.

I put this site up originally because of my love for music. I wanted to share all that I could about music wiht everybody, but I soon found out its a lot more work than I could put in at the time. I wrote reviews monthly for a section I called "Band of the Month" in which I would feature one band I thought was outstanding and that everyone should take a listen to. This was something I took pride in doing and most everyone was happy with the choices I made. If you look at the reviews I did, most of those artists are now very well known or you have heard of them. At the time I wrote the review for those bands, they were only heard in the underground and I brought it up for the people that have not yet had the pleasure of listening to the band/artist. I hope to someday put up a site that is fully dedicated to music when I get everything else squared away.

Here you will see some of the very many hobbies that I have and I hope you enjoy reading about my love for them all. I also used to have mp3s on here that I changed once a month or so , but I no longer do that because it was a lot of bandwith that I used. I may put up a track or two a month when I find the time to do so.
